Safety FAQ’S

Microblading/ Nano/ Combo Brows FAQ’S

  • Bon Beaute artists work within the dermal layer of the skin. This makes your retention long lasting, but will also fade over time. This is why most PMU work requires touch ups in order to color boost your results

Since every clients skin type, daily rituals and biology is uniquely different, it is impossible to guarantee exactly how fast or slow your fading will take place.

  • Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. It involves a small manual blade and handheld tool with fine needles to create hair-like strokes that mimic natural eyebrow hairs. This procedure is popular for its ability to shape, fill, and define brows, giving them a fuller and more defined look. The results typically last for one to three years, depending on factors such as skin type and lifestyle

  • When deciding between multiple permanent makeup options, there are two key factors to consider. Aesthetic and suitability for your individual skin type.

Here are some easy factors to consider which services fits your needs best:

Microblading is performed with a manual tool that creates individual hair movement. Bon Beaute focuses on organic and natural results. Ideal for normal to dry skin, and skin that has a more clear complexion.

Nano Brows are created with a machine that can achieve a softer more pixelated hair stroke effect, and can often achieve more realism in the over all look. This technique helps build up eyebrows with very little to no hair. Great for a majority of skin types including combo skin, oily, or mature.

Combo Brows are a beautiful blend of nano strokes, and soft pixelated shading that can enhance brows in a soft and natural way. Great for all skin types and often recommended primarily for excessive oily, damaged, or mature skin types.

    * hair strokes in combo brows may not be recommended in some cases and can be moved into powder only work that is still soft and natural in completion.

Still not sure what to book? No worries. Your artist will be able to recommend the most suitable service for your needs at your consultation.

  • Bon Beaute always prioritizes comfort whenever we can. If necessary, we use multiple numbing agents, to maximize comfort and limit pain. Although most clients describe our procedures are fairly pain free, each person’s pain tolerance and experience does vary

*clients can often experience an increase in discomfort while on their cycle

  • Caffeine is a stimulate and can increase blood flow during your procedure. This often can lead to discomfort in your session and poor ink retention in your final results

  • Our Color Boost and Touch Up appointment fees are solely reserved for our established Bon Beauté clients. If you are new to our studio we ask that you book a classic appointment with 2 mandatory sessions, so that we can start our relationship with the same heart and intention of all who seek our skill and service.

Be sure that your previous brow work is 40-50% faded upon booking, no refunds will be given if your previous work is too dark

  • As true believers in the artist approach of reinvention, we are not against working on previous work. However, to offer our very best artistry, it is required that old microblading work be at least 40-50% faded, and all cover up appointments must book a mandatory consultation before proceeding to ensure the eyebrow area is safe to be worked on.

*Price varies due to the technical and intuitive techniques needed to perform safe and successful cover up work.

*Not all cover up work is accepted by Bon Beauté consultation fee is non-refundable.

  • Results will always vary from person to person, after your initial session and the touch up, your results should last between 2-5 years.

•Additional touch ups may be required depending on the person and look desired. Permanent makeup ink is not the same as body art ink, and by design it does not last as long as body art ink

  • There will be moderate swelling, redness and bruising for the first 5 days

Apply a Ziploc bag filled with water and ice for no more than 15 minutes at a time to reduce swelling.

During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own

Expect the color to eventually lighten by up to 40% once the healing process is complete

Color may appear uneven at different stages of healing. Be patient. This is a process that does not yield immediate results.

  • Pain levels vary from person to person. Strong topical anesthetic cream is used before and during your procedure to keep you as pain free as possible.

  • The procedure takes about 2 hours where we first start with a personalized consultation and prep work. This process includes chatting about color goals, mapping out your lips, and numbing you for maximum comfort.

  • Our ideal lip tattoo colors are focused on natural and youthful looking results. We can certainly enhance your natural color or add color if your lacking, or add a specific tint that your looking for, but it remains soft and natural. That way when you do decide to change it up and want to wear lipstick it will still look great over top, and can cover you tattoo with whatever color we decide to use.

  • Lip Neutralization is focused on lightening darker lips. Lip Blush can successfully neutralize darker lip colors and requires a consult prior to booking.

Drink through a straw for the first 5 days

It is very normal for the color to look uneven and splotchy during healing. Do not pick itch, bite or scratch the lips.

The pigment should flake and shed away similar to a sunburn.

LIP BLUSH SHOULD HEAL 40-50% LIGHTER

Please Note: The color will bloom more and resurface back to the top of the lip area anywhere between 4-8 weeks.
